My grandfather's plane
Jan. 21st, 2008 12:25 pmMy grandfather was an able woodworker, and after he died in 1983 a few of his tools passed down to me. The plane is a heavy and sturdy Stanley device, which I neglect terribly. It hasn't been sharpened for more than 20 years. But it still performs excellently on the rare occasions I have use for it, such as this morning, and it brings him to mind.

I think the hammer might also have been his.
