My grandfather's plane

My grandfather was an able woodworker, and after he died in 1983 a few of his tools passed down to me. The plane is a heavy and sturdy Stanley device, which I neglect terribly. It hasn't been sharpened for more than 20 years. But it still performs excellently on the rare occasions I have use for it, such as this morning, and it brings him to mind.

I think the hammer might also have been his.

hot laptop

My laptop is getting hotter quicker. The fan runs most of the time, even when CPU usage stays down around 10-15%. And the battery drains really fast. This makes me wonder whether there's some sort of cooling fault, e.g. filters gummed up with fluff. Anyone have any experience in dealing with this sort of thing?
