God Bless the NHS

I prepared carefully for my long-awaited minor surgery.  Cleared some of the decks at work.  Sorted out childcare with my ex.  Even got the house clean and tidy so I wouldn't have to stir from the sofa for a few days.
Got to the hospital: my op is postponed for 6-8 weeks.  New appointment will be in the post.
