God bless the NHS

Yesterday, my son was discharged from paediatric oncology for the last time. Nearly eight years after diagnosis, he was told categorically that the cancer is not coming back and that his treatment has had no lasting adverse effects.

This is a very big deal. It will take a while to sink in.
